Fighter / Diver
Beginner Rule
Save crowd control and mobility for after Ambessa uses her first dash rather than trying to stop her initial engage.
Ambessa is a highly mobile fighter who excels at weaving abilities together while constantly repositioning. She wants to use her dashes to stick to targets, avoid retaliation, and extend fights on her terms. Many beginners underestimate how difficult she is to escape once she commits.
Level 3 – Full trading pattern unlocked.
Level 6 – Strong engage and chase potential.
First Item – Gains significant dueling power.
Multiple dashes
Extended fights
Gap-closing engages
Side-lane duels
QWhat it does
Sweeps twin blades in a semicircle in front, then on the second cast slams in a line dealing bonus damage to the first target hit.
How to play against
Back away after the first sweep — the line slam is the real damage. She'll use her passive dash to close distance between the two casts.
WWhat it does
Gains a shield, braces briefly, then slams. Deals significantly more damage if she blocked any damage while bracing.
How to play against
Don't attack her during the brace window — you're literally amplifying her slam. Wait for the slam before responding.
EWhat it does
Whips both weapons around slowing nearby enemies. Her passive dash from this ability causes her to strike a second time at the end.
How to play against
Her AoE slow enables teammates to follow up. The double-strike via passive means her E trades hit twice — back away immediately when she uses it.
RWhat it does
Blinks to the farthest enemy in a chosen line, suppresses them on arrival, then slams them stunning nearby enemies.
How to play against
The suppression is instant once she arrives — no dodging after she targets you. Stay out of the line she selects at low HP.
Dash → Ability Chain → Dash Out
Safe trading pattern.
Ultimate Engage → Full Combo
Starts all-ins.
Extended Ability Rotation
Maximizes mobility and damage.
Drakehound's Step: entering an attack or movement command while casting an ability causes her to dash after the ability, empowering her next attack with bonus range, damage, and attack speed. Every ability she casts can be followed immediately by a repositioning dash.
