Marksman
Beginner Rule
Check Aphelios' current weapons before committing to a fight — they determine how dangerous he is and how he wants to trade.
Aphelios is a scaling marksman whose strengths change depending on his current weapons. He wants to use different weapon combinations to adapt to fights, whether that's long-range poke, crowd control, or close-range damage. Many beginners focus on Aphelios himself instead of checking which weapons he currently has equipped.
Level 6 – Ultimate adds strong burst and utility.
First Item – Damage becomes more reliable.

QWhat it does
Five different activated abilities based on his current main-hand weapon. Each one does something very different.
How to play against
Learn the current weapon from the UI. Calibrum: stay mobile, dodge the mark. Gravitum: the root sets up kills — break his slow before he activates the root. Infernum: don't cluster — it cones through you to allies.
WWhat it does
Swaps his main-hand and off-hand weapons, changing his attacks and abilities.
How to play against
The swap changes everything about his threat pattern. Stay alert when he switches.
EWhat it does
No active ability — this slot shows the next weapon incoming.
How to play against
Track what's coming next. Crescendum sentry means close-range pressure builds. Plan around his next weapon.
RWhat it does
Fires a concentrated moonlight blast that applies the current weapon's unique effect in an AoE on champion hit.
How to play against
His ult's effect depends on his current weapon. Infernum ult is a massive AoE cone — spread out. Crescendum ult builds a giant sentry. Calibrum ult marks everyone hit.
Green + Purple
Long-range poke and crowd control.
Red + White
Strong dueling and sustained damage.
Ultimate + Follow-up Weapons
Massive teamfight damage.

The Hitman and the Seer: five weapons with unique attacks and abilities, two active at a time. Learn the weapon HUD. Calibrum marks at range; Gravitum roots; Infernum AOEs; Crescendum builds a sentry; Severum heals him while attacking.
