Beginner Rule

Don't chase Aurora through extended fights — she wants you to overcommit.

Threat Overview

Aurora is a mobile mage who excels at weaving in and out of fights while dealing burst damage. She wants to use her mobility and Between Worlds (R) — her arena-style ultimate — to isolate enemies and control engagements. Many beginners chase Aurora too aggressively and get punished for overcommitting.

Power Spikes

Level 6 – Ultimate greatly increases playmaking potential.

First Item – Burst damage becomes threatening.

Two Items – Teamfight damage and mobility become difficult to handle.

What it does

Sends a missile that curses enemies hit. On recast draws curses back toward her, damaging all enemies hit on the return path.

How to play against

Dodge the initial missile. If cursed, move away before she recasts — the return path deals significant damage and you'll be hit twice if you stand still.

What it does

Leaps to a location and enters the spirit realm — goes invisible and gains Move Speed on landing.

How to play against

She uses this offensively and as an escape. Don't blindly chase into her landing zone — she'll have repositioned already.

What it does

Sends out a blast of spirit magic dealing damage and slowing. Then she hops backwards.

How to play against

The backward hop is deceptive — she deals damage while retreating. Don't follow aggressively into it.

What it does

Leaps releasing a shockwave, then creates a zone that slows enemies inside. She can teleport between the two sides of the zone.

How to play against

The teleport lets her completely change her facing and flanking angle in a moment. Don't stand in the zone — she can appear on either side instantly.

Common Combos

Q → E → Passive Proc

Core trading combo.

R → Full Ability Rotation

Locks enemies into dangerous fights.

Poke Rotation → Re-engage

Wears opponents down before committing.

Passive

Passive

Spirit Abjuration: her spells and attacks exorcise spirits from enemies she damages. Exorcised spirits follow her and heal her. She passively sustains from hitting you — anti-heal (Executioner's/Morellonomicon) reduces this.
