Mage / Battlemage
Beginner Rule
If Cassiopeia poisons you, don't stand still and trade.
Cassiopeia is a sustained-damage mage who thrives in extended fights. She wants to poison enemies with Noxious Blast (Q) or Miasma (W) before repeatedly casting Twin Fang (E) for massive damage. Many beginners underestimate how quickly her damage ramps up after being poisoned.
Level 2 – Gains poison and follow-up damage.
Level 6 – Petrifying Gaze adds powerful crowd control.
First Item – Sustained damage increases dramatically.

Ultimate stun
Extended fights
Objective control
QWhat it does
Blasts an area with poison after a brief delay. If she hits a champion she gains Move Speed.
How to play against
The delay gives you time to move. Sidestep the zone. Getting poisoned enables her E spam and her R stun — clear the poison debuff fast.
WWhat it does
Releases multiple poison cloud patches that slow, ground (prevent movement abilities), and lightly damage enemies passing through.
How to play against
Grounded means no dashes. Don't walk through the clouds — walk around them. Being grounded inside removes your escape options.
EWhat it does
Fires an instant fang attack dealing massively increased damage to Poisoned targets. Heals her if target dies. Has almost no cooldown while targets are Poisoned.
How to play against
Her E spams instantly on Poisoned targets with near-zero cooldown. Avoid Q and W or you'll be hit 10+ times in a few seconds.
RWhat it does
Releases a gaze — champions facing her are stunned. Champions with their back turned are only slowed.
How to play against
Turn your back to her before the cast. You'll be slowed instead of stunned. The stun is devastating at close range.
Q → E Spam
Core damage combo.
W → Q → E Spam
Prevents mobility and maximizes damage.
R → Full Combo
Punishes enemies facing her.

Serpentine Grace: all Move Speed bonuses are amplified for her. She's faster than she looks. Don't try to outrun her with just boots — you need hard CC.
