Beginner Rule
If Fiddlesticks is missing, be careful near unwarded walls and bushes.
Fiddlesticks is a jungler who excels at ambushes and teamfight engages. He wants to use Crowstorm (R) — his blink-and-damage ultimate — from fog of war to fear and damage multiple enemies. Many beginners forget to ward flanking routes and get surprised by his engages.
Level 6 – Crowstorm unlocks game-changing engages.
First Item – Teamfight damage increases significantly.
Mid Game – Excels at objective fights.

QWhat it does
Fears an enemy if he was unseen when casting (passive Terrify). Active targets a unit and fears them if they haven't been Terrified recently.
How to play against
He casts from bushes or unseen positions for the fear. Ward everything. If he appears suddenly, expect the fear.
WWhat it does
Drains health from nearby enemies dealing damage. Bonus execute damage at the end of the channel.
How to play against
Break the drain by moving out of range. When he channels W on you, run — don't stand there taking damage.
EWhat it does
Slashes with his scythe dealing damage, slowing all hit and silencing those hit in the centre.
How to play against
The silence zone is the centre of the slash. Back away from the centre of his swing direction.
RWhat it does
A murder of crows erupts around him dealing sustained AoE damage per second. He can be anywhere when this starts.
How to play against
When you hear the crows starting from fog of war, immediately fall back. Never fight in cramped jungle corners near him.
R → Q → W
Standard teamfight engage.
Hidden R → Full Combo
Punishes grouped enemies.
Fear → Drain
Sustains while dealing damage.

A Harmless Scarecrow: he can place effigy wards that look like him to enemies. When he appears somewhere enemies haven't seen him recently he gains bonus damage. He'll use effigies to confuse — look for the missing move animation when identifying the real one.
