Fighter / Skirmisher
Beginner Rule
Don't fight Gwen inside Hallowed Mist (W) — her protective mist ability — unless you can enter it safely.
Gwen is a scaling fighter who excels at extended duels and shredding tanks. She wants to use Hallowed Mist (W) — her protective mist ability — to avoid damage while dealing sustained damage up close. Many beginners continue fighting Gwen after she activates W and lose trades they should have disengaged from.
Level 6 – Gains strong all-in potential through Needlework.
First Item – Sustained damage increases significantly.
Two Items – Becomes a major side-lane threat.
Hallowed Mist
True damage snips
Extended fights
Scaling
QWhat it does
Snips scissors up to 6 times in a cone dealing magic damage. Centre deals true damage and applies her passive on-hit.
How to play against
Stay to the side — the centre lane deals true damage. Never stand directly in front of her snipping.
WWhat it does
Summons a mist that prevents enemies outside from targeting her. She can only be targeted by enemies who enter it.
How to play against
You must enter the mist to target her. If she summons it while losing a fight, back off rather than stepping in.
EWhat it does
Dashes a short distance then gains Attack Speed, attack range, and magic damage on-hit. Hitting an enemy partially refunds the cooldown.
How to play against
She'll dash into you and then chain autos. When E is down she loses her mobility entirely — trade in that window.
RWhat it does
Hurls needles in a line that slow and deal damage, applying her passive. Can be cast up to three times. Each cast throws more needles.
How to play against
Move sideways between casts — the needles follow a consistent line path. The third cast has the most needles.
E → Q → Auto
Core trade pattern.
R → Full Combo
Maximizes sustained damage.
W → Extended Trade
Creates favorable duels.

Thousand Cuts: her basic attacks deal bonus on-hit magic damage scaling with max health, and heal her for a portion. The on-hit healing makes her very hard to attrition — anti-heal is essential.
