Beginner Rule
Never fight Irelia when Ionian Fervor (Passive) is fully stacked unless you have a clear advantage.
Irelia is a mobile fighter who thrives when she can chain dashes through minions and stack her passive. She wants to build Ionian Fervor (Passive) stacks before committing to fights and using minions to reset her dashes. Many beginners underestimate how much stronger Irelia becomes when her passive is fully stacked.
Level 2 – Can quickly stack passive and take aggressive trades.
Level 6 – Ultimate gives strong all-in potential and easier resets.
Blade of the Ruined King – Massive dueling power spike.
Two Items – Becomes extremely dangerous in side lanes.

QWhat it does
Dashes to a target dealing damage. Heals on hit. Cooldown resets if the target is Marked or dies.
How to play against
She resets Q off marked or dying targets — she can dash indefinitely through a minion wave. Don't fight near low-HP minions.
WWhat it does
Charges a strike dealing more physical damage the longer charged. Reduces physical damage taken during the charge.
How to play against
The charge reduces physical damage — don't burst physical abilities into the charge. Wait for it to complete.
EWhat it does
Sends two blades that converge. Enemies caught between them are stunned and Marked.
How to play against
The convergence stun is the setup for her Q resets. Move sideways out of the blades' path — they converge to the midpoint between them.
RWhat it does
Fires a massive volley of blades that explode outward on hitting a champion, forming a slowing wall.
How to play against
The blade wall slows severely. Don't walk through it — go around. The initial hit deals heavy damage.
E1 → E2 → Q → Auto → Q
Standard engage combo.
R → Q → Auto → E → Q Reset
Full all-in combo.
Q Through Minions → Champion
Common surprise trade pattern.
Ionian Fervor: hitting enemies with abilities and attacks builds stacks granting bonus Attack Speed. At max stacks her attacks deal bonus magic damage. She becomes a machine gun in extended fights — don't let her stack up.
