Support / Enchanter
Beginner Rule
Don't commit your entire engage until you've accounted for Monsoon (R) — Janna's knockback ultimate.
Janna is an enchanter support who excels at disengaging fights and protecting carries. She wants to interrupt engages with Howling Gale (Q) and Monsoon (R) while keeping teammates alive. Many beginners commit too hard onto Janna's team and get pushed away before securing kills.
Level 6 – Monsoon adds massive disengage power.
First Support Item – Shields and utility improve significantly.
Teamfights – Excels at protecting carries.

QWhat it does
Charges a small storm. The longer it charges the more knockback and damage. Releases when reactivated or at full charge.
How to play against
She charges to knock you back further. Dodge when she releases — move sideways away from the direction you'd be knocked.
WWhat it does
Summons an air elemental passively boosting her Move Speed. Active: deals damage and slows a target.
How to play against
Point-and-click slow. She has no escape once she uses W aggressively — though she uses it defensively more often.
EWhat it does
Shields an ally or turret from damage and increases their Attack Damage.
How to play against
The bonus AD makes the shielded target hit harder. Burn the shield before engaging on the protected ally.
RWhat it does
Knocks all nearby enemies back. Then soothing winds heal nearby allies while the wind blows.
How to play against
The knockback disrupts all-in combos. Don't group near her or her carry. She'll use this to peel for her ADC.

Tailwind: she passively grants bonus Move Speed to nearby allied champions moving toward enemies. Her whole team moves faster — expect them to close distance quicker than normal.
