Marksman
Beginner Rule
Don't underestimate Rend (E) damage when Kalista has been attacking you for several seconds.
Kalista is a mobile marksman who thrives in extended fights and aggressive lanes. She wants to use Martial Poise (Passive) to constantly reposition while stacking spears for Rend (E). Many beginners underestimate how difficult Kalista is to pin down.
Early Game – Strong lane pressure and trading.
First Item – Mobility and sustained damage improve.
Objective Fights – Rend gives strong objective control.
Rend execute damage
Constant hopping movement
Ultimate support engages
Objective steals
QWhat it does
Throws a fast spear that passes through dead enemies.
How to play against
She throws spears while hopping — very hard to trade into. The spear passes through dead minions enabling long-range poke.
WWhat it does
Passive: she and her Oathsworn deal bonus damage when hitting the same target. Active: sends a soul scout.
How to play against
The Oathsworn bonus damage is passive — whenever both Kalista and her support hit you, combined burst is higher than it looks.
EWhat it does
Every auto stacks spears in targets. Activating rips them out dealing escalating damage and slowing.
How to play against
The rip deals massive damage with many stacks. Stay at range — every auto she lands stacks more pain.
RWhat it does
Teleports her Oathsworn ally to herself. The Oathsworn can then dash forward knocking enemies back.
How to play against
The knockback can displace you from safety. Expect the Oathsworn to arrive when Kalista is being dived.
Auto → Spear Stack → Rend
Core trading pattern.
Support Engage → Follow-Up
Wins lane fights.
Stack Spears → Objective Rend
Secures objectives.

Martial Poise: when she enters a basic attack command she hops in the attack direction. She never stands still while attacking — she's constantly kiting sideways. Don't try to stand face-to-face with her.
