Beginner Rule
Always check whether Kayn has transformed — his playstyle changes dramatically afterward.
Kayn is a mobile jungler who becomes much stronger after transforming into Shadow Assassin or Rhaast. He wants to collect transformation progress through combat before choosing the form best suited to the game. Many beginners underestimate how much stronger transformed Kayn becomes.
Transformation – Massive increase in power.
First Item – Improves skirmishing significantly.
Two Items – Strong carry potential in both forms.

Dashes and slashes dealing damage in a direction. Short range.
How to play against
He chains Q through enemy units. Don't stand in crowded minion areas — he can Q-chain through everything.

Deals damage and slows targets in a line.
How to play against
His slow enables his chasing pattern. Stay mobile — don't let the W slow pin you near a wall.
EWhat it does
Can walk through any terrain.
How to play against
He can appear from any wall anywhere on the map. Never feel safe near terrain. Ward your flanks.
RWhat it does
Hides inside an enemy champion's body dealing damage over time then erupting.
How to play against
If he enters you, use defensive summoners or items immediately. He'll deal massive damage when he erupts from inside.

Basic skirmish combo.

Avoids retaliation while dealing damage.
Wall Flank → Burst
Creates unexpected picks.
The Darkin Scythe: he absorbs Darkin/Shadow essence from champions and objectives, eventually transforming into either Rhaast (Darkin tank-fighter) or Shadow Assassin (AD assassin). His form defines his entire threat profile — track which he's building toward.
