Mage / Burst
Beginner Rule
Be careful standing near teammates when Lissandra can engage with Glacial Path (E).
Lissandra is a control mage who excels at locking down priority targets and disrupting teamfights. She wants to use Glacial Path (E) to engage before trapping enemies with crowd control and burst damage. Many beginners underestimate how much threat she has even while building defensively.
Level 6 – Frozen Tomb creates strong pick potential.
First Item – Waveclear and burst improve.
Teamfights – Excellent engage and disruption.
E engages
Self-cast ultimate healing
Crowd control chains
Flanks
QWhat it does
Throws a spear that shatters on hit. Shards pass through the target dealing the same damage to enemies behind.
How to play against
Stand alone — the shards pass through to enemies behind you. Sidestep the main spear.
WWhat it does
Freezes nearby enemies dealing magic damage and rooting them.
How to play against
Short range — she needs to be in melee. Back away when she's close.
EWhat it does
Creates an ice claw that deals damage. Reactivating teleports her to the claw's current location.
How to play against
Track where she sent the claw — she can appear from that location. Don't chase her into an area where the claw went.
RWhat it does
If on an enemy: hard stun. If on herself: encases herself in ice making her untargetable and invulnerable while healing.
How to play against
Self-cast R makes her invulnerable and heals. Don't waste your burst window during her self-R. Enemy R-hit means hard stun — Flash or dash as she targets you.
E → W → Q → R
Standard all-in combo.
Flash → W → R
Surprise lockdown.
Self R → Survive → Re-engage
Turns fights around.

Iceborn: occasionally her abilities become free to cast. When she casts a free ability she's conserving mana for more casts — track when the free cast procs.
