Beginner Rule
Be patient with engages — Whimsy (W) can completely shut down aggressive plays.
Lulu is an enchanter support who excels at protecting carries and disrupting assassins. She wants to use Whimsy (W) — her polymorph ability — to shut down aggressive enemies while empowering teammates. Many beginners underestimate how difficult it is to kill Lulu's allies during teamfights.
Level 6 – Wild Growth provides huge defensive utility.
First Support Item – Shields and buffs become stronger.
Teamfights – Exceptional carry protection.

QWhat it does
Both Pix and Lulu fire bolts dealing damage and heavily slowing all enemies hit.
How to play against
Two bolts in a spread — sidestep both. The slow enables her carry to chase or her to set up W.
WWhat it does
If on an ally: grants Attack Speed and Move Speed. If on an enemy: polymorphs them into a critter.
How to play against
Being polymorphed removes your ability to cast or auto for a moment. Stay mobile to dodge the point-and-click cast when she has line of sight.
EWhat it does
Shields an ally from damage. Commands Pix to follow and assist them. If cast on an enemy, Pix damages them and grants Lulu vision.
How to play against
Her shield with Pix following means the carry deals passive AoE damage with every auto. Burn through the shield quickly.
RWhat it does
Enlarges an ally knocking up nearby enemies and granting massive bonus health. Slows enemies near the enlarged ally.
How to play against
The knockup affects everyone near the ult target. Don't group near the champion she's about to enlarge.
W → Q → Poke
Standard lane trade.
R → Save Ally
Prevents burst kills.
Shield → Buff → Follow-Up
Enables carries.
Pix, Faerie Companion: Pix fires bolts at Lulu's attack target dealing magic damage. Her auto attacks always have Pix assisting — she effectively deals more DPS than her auto animation shows.
