Watch for Aqua Prison (Q) — her bubble ability — before stepping forward to trade.
Nami is an enchanter support who excels at empowering allies and creating picks. She wants to land Aqua Prison (Q) — her bubble crowd control ability — before her team follows up. Many beginners underestimate how much damage and utility Nami adds to her lane partner.
Level 2 – Strong trading tools available.
Level 6 – Tidal Wave adds powerful engage and disengage.

Sends a bubble to a target area stunning and dealing damage on impact.
How to play against
A slow projectile — sidestep it. Getting stunned in her combo range is lethal.

A stream that bounces between allies (healing) and enemies (damaging).
How to play against
Don't stand near both Nami and her ADC — the bounce chain hits you multiple times.
EWhat it does
Empowers an ally's attacks with bonus magic damage and a slow on each hit.
How to play against
Her empowered carry slows you every hit. Disengage when you see the golden glow on her carry's attacks.
RWhat it does
Summons a tidal wave knocking up, slowing, and damaging enemies.
How to play against
Dodge perpendicular to the wave's path. It's a fast long skillshot. Allies behind it gain Move Speed.
Q → Follow-Up Damage
Standard pick combo.
E Buff → Ally Trade
Enhances lane pressure.
R → Q Chain
Locks enemies down.
Surging Tides: allied champions touched by Nami's abilities gain bonus Move Speed briefly. Her entire team gets mini speed boosts from her abilities — expect coordinated short dashes from her teammates.
