Beginner Rule
Prioritize dodging Javelin Toss (Q) — her spear ability — because most of Nidalee's burst starts there.
Nidalee is an early-game jungler who excels at poke, mobility, and snowballing leads. She wants to land Javelin Toss (Q) — her long-range spear ability — before transforming and diving onto marked targets. Many beginners underestimate how much damage her spears can deal from range.
Level 3 – Full Human and Cougar Form combo available.
Early Game – One of the strongest invading junglers.
First Item – Burst damage becomes much more threatening.

QWhat it does
Human: throws a javelin that gains damage with travel distance. Cougar: next attack deals damage based on target's missing health.
How to play against
Her long-range javelin gains damage exponentially with distance. Dodge early — the farther it travels the more it hurts.
WWhat it does
Human: lays a trap that damages and reveals. Cougar: pounces to a location.
How to play against
Triggering her trap reveals you and empowers her cougar form approach. Walk around brush edges carefully.
EWhat it does
Human: heals an ally and grants Attack Speed. Cougar: claws in front for AoE damage.
How to play against
She heals from safe range in human form. Anti-heal reduces this sustain.
RWhat it does
Transforms between human and cougar form.
How to play against
She transforms to close distance after landing a javelin hit. Create distance immediately when she transforms.

Punishes poor positioning.
Spear Hit → Chase

Prowl: when she enters a trap's revealed zone or enters a bush she briefly gains Move Speed toward visible enemies. She uses brush to gain move speed constantly — track her bush entries.
