Beginner Rule
Always know where Orianna's ball is — that's where her threat comes from.
Orianna is a control mage who excels at zone control and teamfight impact. She wants to position The Ball effectively before using Command: Shockwave (R) to pull enemies together. Many beginners focus on Orianna herself and forget to track where the ball is.
