Tank / Fighter
Beginner Rule
Be careful using dashes near Steadfast Presence (W) — Poppy can completely stop them.
Poppy is a tank fighter who excels at denying mobility and punishing aggressive engages. She wants to use Steadfast Presence (W) — her anti-dash ability — to stop enemies from escaping or engaging. Many beginners forget that their mobility abilities won't work inside Poppy's W.

QWhat it does
Swings her hammer dealing damage and creating a delayed explosion zone that slows.
How to play against
The explosion zone appears after the hit — step away from it. Being slowed inside enables her E wall stun.
WWhat it does
Passively gains Armor and MR. Active: gains Move Speed and creates a zone that blocks all dashes.
How to play against
Her W hard-counters all mobility. Don't dash near her during W — you'll be stopped and slowed. Walk around her W zone.
EWhat it does
Dashes to a target pushing them back. Stunning if they hit a wall.
How to play against
The wall stun is her kill condition. Never fight near walls against Poppy.
RWhat it does
Channels a hammer strike that sends non-Poppy enemies very far away.
How to play against
She uses R to clear divers or peel for her team. Getting knocked far from your team can be fatal — expect it if you're diving her.
