Beginner Rule
If you see Rengar's ultimate warning, move toward teammates instead of staying alone.
Rengar is an assassin who excels at bursting isolated targets from fog of war. He wants to build Ferocity before leaping from brush or using Thrill of the Hunt (R) to ambush vulnerable enemies. Many beginners forget that Rengar's threat increases dramatically when brushes are nearby.
Level 6 – Ultimate unlocks global pick potential.
First Item – Burst damage becomes threatening.
Two Items – Can quickly eliminate squishy targets.

QWhat it does
Next attack brutally stabs for bonus damage. Ferocity: massive damage and Attack Speed bonus.
How to play against
At full Ferocity his Q one-shots squishies. Back off when his ferocity bar is full.
WWhat it does
Battle roar dealing damage and healing based on damage recently taken. Ferocity: additionally breaks CC.
How to play against
Empowered W breaks CC. Use CC before he has full Ferocity if possible.
EWhat it does
Throws a bola slowing. Ferocity: roots the target.
How to play against
He throws the bola mid-leap to slow or root you. Move erratically when he's in brush range.
RWhat it does
Goes camouflage and reveals the nearest enemy champion. Gains Move Speed toward them. Can leap without being in brush.
How to play against
He's invisible during R. Keep moving erratically. He will appear very close to you before leaping.
Leap → Full Combo
Standard assassination pattern.
R → Leap → Burst
Punishes isolated targets.
Empowered Bola → Follow-Up
Locks enemies down.
Unseen Predator: when leaping from brush or on his ult he can leap to any enemy champion in range. He gains Ferocity from ability casts — at full Ferocity his next ability is empowered. Track his Ferocity bar.
