Mage / Specialist
Beginner Rule
If Twisted Fate disappears after Level 6, assume he's looking for a Destiny (R) roam.
Twisted Fate is a utility mage who excels at picks and map pressure. He wants to use Destiny (R) — his global teleport ultimate — to create advantages across the map while controlling fights with Gold Card (W). Many beginners focus too much on lane and forget how quickly Twisted Fate can impact other lanes.
Level 6 – Global pressure unlocks.
First Item – Waveclear and pick potential improve.
Rapid Firecannon (if built) – Gold Card range becomes much harder to respect.
Gold Card stuns
Global teleports
Roams
Vision reveal from Destiny
QWhat it does
Throws three cards dealing damage to each enemy unit they pass through.
How to play against
Three-card spread — sidestep or hide behind terrain to block them.
WWhat it does
Selects a magic card from his deck. Blue restores Mana. Red slows and damages. Gold stuns.
How to play against
The Gold Card stun is his kill setup. Watch the brief selection animation — dodge during the Gold card selection. It's the slow glowing yellow card.
EWhat it does
Every 4 attacks he deals bonus damage. Passive Attack Speed bonus.
How to play against
Don't stand near him when he has 3 attack stacks — the 4th deals significantly more damage.
RWhat it does
Reveals all enemy champions globally. Then teleports anywhere after 1.5 seconds.
How to play against
He has global roaming with R. When he disappears assume any nearby lane is about to be gank attacked.
Gold Card → Q
Standard pick combo.
R → Gold Card → Full Combo
Creates picks across the map.
Push Wave → Roam
Applies map pressure.

Loaded Dice: on champion kills he grants nearby allies bonus gold. He's a snowball champion — shutting him down early denies his team gold.
