Mage / Battlemage
Beginner Rule
Be careful committing everything into Sanguine Pool (W) — Vladimir can become untargetable and avoid key abilities.
Vladimir is a scaling battlemage who excels at surviving burst damage and winning extended fights. He wants to sustain through lane before diving into fights with Hemoplague (R) and massive area damage. Many beginners underestimate how difficult Vladimir is to kill once he has items.
Level 6 – Ultimate adds huge teamfight damage.
First Item – Sustain and burst improve significantly.
Two-Three Items – Becomes extremely difficult to handle.

Late-game scaling
QWhat it does
Steals life from the target. Enhanced version at full resource (Crimson Rush) deals massive damage and heals enormously.
How to play against
Anti-heal counters his Q heal. In Crimson Rush (glowing red) his damage and healing spike enormously — disengage when he glows.
WWhat it does
Sinks into a blood pool becoming untargetable for 2 seconds. The pool slows and damages enemies on it.
How to play against
He's untargetable during W. Don't waste abilities. The pool slows — back away from the red pool indicator.
EWhat it does
Charges a reservoir of blood damaging nearby enemies when released.
How to play against
He zones with charged E. Back away when he starts charging — the release is a large AoE.
RWhat it does
Infects an area making affected enemies take increased damage for several seconds. Then deals magic damage and heals Vladimir.
How to play against
The infection amplifies ALL damage you take. Disengage when infected — don't take further damage while marked.
E Charge → Q → Trade
Standard lane combo.
Flash → R → Full Combo
Teamfight engage pattern.
W → Dodge → Re-engage
Avoids retaliation.

Crimson Pact: every 40 AP gives him 1% bonus Health, and every 25 bonus Health gives him 1 AP. He's tanky AND deals magic damage — you can't itemise effectively with just one resist type.
