Beginner Rule
Always watch where Xayah's feathers land — that's where her threat comes from.
Xayah is a marksman who excels at punishing enemies who chase directly into her. She wants to position feathers with her abilities before recalling them through Bladecaller (E) for damage and roots. Many beginners focus on Xayah herself and forget about feather placement.
Level 6 – Featherstorm provides safety and outplay potential.
First Item – Damage becomes more consistent.
Two Items – Strong teamfight and self-peel potential.

QWhat it does
Throws two daggers dealing damage. Also drops Feathers at each enemy hit.
How to play against
Her daggers place Feathers around you — the more Feathers around you the bigger her E recall will be.
WWhat it does
Creates a storm of blades increasing Attack Speed and damage while granting Move Speed on champion hits.
How to play against
During her W she deals more damage and attacks faster. Back away during this burst window.
EWhat it does
Calls all dropped Feathers back dealing damage and rooting enemies caught by 3+ feathers.
How to play against
Track how many feathers are in your path. Three feathers converging roots you — step away from feather clusters.
RWhat it does
Leaps into the air untargetable and throws a fan of daggers. Lands dealing damage and dropping Feathers.
How to play against
She's untargetable during R — don't waste CC. She immediately sets up a large E recall with all the landing Feathers.

Creates surprise roots.
Feather Setup → E Recall
Controls space.
Clean Cuts: after using an ability she gets several basic attacks with extended range. These extended-range attacks leave Feathers behind at the target's location.
